Most Tour Operators concentrate
on the area of the North Pole.
Below we are dealing with Antarctica only.
Of course, this list is not exhaustive.

The Explorer has been plying the route to Antarctica for 30 years during the southern summer. It was one of the first ships to take passengers to this cold region of the earth.
Its home departure base is Ushuaia (South America).

A number of different trips are taken during the short Antarctic summer:
- a 14-day trip to Antarctica
- an Adventure Ice Cruise : 17 days
- Antarctica and the Falkland Islands : 16 days
- Antarctica and South Georgia : 19 days
- Antarctica and South Georgia : 20 days.

Adventure Associates offer 16 or so trips to Antarctica.

They use 3 ships: Prof. Multanovskiy and the ice-breakers Kapitan Khlebnikov and Kapitan Dranitsyn.
"The Great Explorers" is worth a look: a 25-day trip in the footsteps of Mawson, Ernest Shackleton and Falcon Scott. The programme includes a visit to each of their respective historical huts. Place of departure: New Zealand.
Indivation of prices: from $11,250 to $21,450.

Aurora Expeditions have a number of very interesting travel programmes to offer. We cannot cover them all here.

From the classic Antarctica programme to ski expeditions to the South Pole.
One that stands out is their "Antarctic Peninsula Summer Explosion". On this trip, passengers can "dive" and discover the world beneath the ice. This option is aboard the ship "Prof Molchanov" (28th November to 8th December).
Price: $3,690.

The price bracket for their other travel programmes is between $3,690 and $11,290.

Lindblad Expeditions provides a limited number of trips to Antarctica. The "Caledonian" can carry 110 passengers and provides travellers with a very pleasant atmosphere on board ship. Departure dates are between December and January. Price bracket: between $7,520 and $12,720.

Quark Expeditions have 3 different travel programmes to Antarctica: an 11-day "Classic Antarctica" trip, running from November to February.
Prices vary here - depending on the cabin and the ship - from $3,995 to $6,395.
A second route route is Falklands - South Georgia - Antarctica: 20 days.
There are various departure dates between November and February.
Price range from between $7,695 to $10,395.
