Ronny Finsaas is one of Norway’s most experienced ski sailors. He lives in Finse next to Hardangervidda, which is probably the best ski-sailing area in Norway. His choice of place to live is directly related to his dedication to ski-sailing and wildlife. When he is not cooking at the Finse 1222 hotel, he is out teaching ski-sailing or doing ski-sail expeditions around Finse. Being a member of the local rescue team, he also has wide experience of glacier rescue.

During the last six years he has been pushing the limits of what you can do with a ski sail. He has travelled at 50mph pulling a sledge, sailing in the dark a distance of 30 miles, within 2 hrs, using headlamp and GPS.
