Mountaineering background: Roger is one of our most experienced guides. He has been climbing since 1969 worldwide.

Notable ascents/First ascents: 2nd British winter ascent of North Face of the Eiger, 1st winter ascent of Cassin Ridge, 1st British ascent of American Direct (Dru), 2nd British ascent S. Face of the Fou, 1st winter ascent of Erabus, 1st winter ascent Gabourou, 1st British ascent NW Face Trubenasa, 1st ascent East Face of Huntington, 1st British ascent of Nanga Parbat.

Leadership/instructional background: Roger worked as an instructor at Plas Y Brenin (1980-1983) and Glenmore Lodge (1989-1991) and has been a freelance guide since 1986. Along with Dave Walsh, Roger directs our Alpine Courses.
