April - June 1999

Wednesday 12th May 1999

A word about the weather…

During these few days that will so important for the success of the Belgian "Third Pole Expedition 99", the IRM weather institute has agreed to provide expedition HQ with information about the weather to be expected on the roof of the world - information that the Belgians will naturally be comparing with forecasts they have been buying from a major American expedition that will be making its own attempt on Everest from the Nepalese slopes.
