For
a perfect timing
Due
to better satellite communications, Alain Hubert could call the
QG and forward his vews about their climbing towards the top.
- Saturday
15th May, 9am (Tibetan time = GMT + 5h50') : departure for ABC.
- Saturday
15th May, 4-5pm : arriving at ABC, rest, bivouac.
- Sunday 16th
May, 9am (depending of the weather conditions) : departure for
the North col (7000m).
- Sunday 16th
May, 4pm : arrival at the North col, bivouac.
- Monday 17th
May, 8am : departure for the climbing towards the summit.
- Monday 17th
May, 2pm : arrival at the altitude of 7800m, two hours rest, tea,
food.
- Monday 17th
May, 10pm : arrival at 8300m, where they have a tent and some
food waiting (see the releases of 29th April, 3rd and 6th May)
: one hour rest.
- Monday 17th
May, about midnight : departure for the summit.
- Tuesday 18th
May, 8am : planned arrival at the top (they need about eight hours
to climb between 8300 and 8848m).
- Tuesday 18th
May, 7pm : return at ABC (if they are too tired, they'll spend
the night at the North Col and will not be back until Wednesday
morning).
