After being dropped at the North Pole, French doctor Jean-Louis Etienne is going to board his Polar Observer (photo below) specially designed vessel to follow the drift of the Arctic ice pack for a period of about three months. During his expedition, he will achieve a program of scientific osbervations and collect samples of the ice.
