THE WALL IN ANTARCTICA
Alain Hubert & team

Together with 7 other top level climbers, Belgian explorer Alain Hubert is trying to climb a 8000 m (above icecap) vertical granit peak - the Holtanna - located in the Orvin Mountain Range of Queen Maud Land, Antarctica.

The Antarctic icecap is the last region in the world containing areas of virgin territory.

It is like an ice desert stretching to infinity, without the slightest trace of man.

Because of their particularly abrupt configuration, and the extreme temperatures, and the violent winds that rage in this part of the world, these rocky peaks offers themselves as the last major rock-climbing challenge left for the 21st century.
