NorthWinds is a family business, owned and operated by Matty McNair and Paul Landry.

Matty contributed to polar history in 1997 when she led the first women's expedition to the Geographic North Pole. This expedition was the first ever guided expedition
to a Geographic Pole.

Paul was the Director of Programs at the Canadian Outward Bound Wilderness School before moving to Baffin Island. In 1998, he lead a succesful unsupported dog sledding expedition to the Magnetic North Pole. Since then he has been to the North Pole three times and the South Pole twice.
