Scott's Challenge
Pete Goss & Alain Chambers

Two Britons, Pete Goss, 40, and Alan Chambers, 34, are planning to retrace the heroic odyssey of the British explorers Robert F. Scott, Birdie Bowers, Titus Oates, Edgar Evans and Bill Wilson, who lost their lives 180 km short of their goal on their return from the North Pole on 29th March 1912.

The team is hoping to raise €400,000 to help the twelve million African children currently afflicted by AIDS.

The adventure was announced last year by the Scott's Challenge expedition, but a lack of funds (their budget fell €200 000 short of its target) meant the project could not go ahead.
